Basil was a middle aged fox terrier, who had been rehomed after finding his way to the RSPCA. His owner approched me about his problem with running off out of the park and back home every time his owner let him off. This was a problem for the husband and not the wife. The trouble here was that the dog did not respect the husbands authority and so each time he let him off the lead he ran home. With simple commands and rewards the dog learnt in two hours that the husband was also someone he had to listen to and if he did there was a chance he might get a treat. The next day Basil walked beside his owner with no lead,on the school run and they never had that problem again.
